Users through their digital conversations have decided: among the ten cities chosen by Travel Appeal (Bologna, Catania, Florence, Genoa, Milan, Naples, Rome, Turin, Trieste, Venice) and presented to the BTO 2014, the international event dedicated to travel 2.0 which was held on 2 and 3 December in Florence: Venice is the city with the best Spa and wellness centres.
The perception of feeling (service satisfaction) and reputation (reputation of the service expressed on the channels of guest reviews, like TripAdvisor) was carried out by analysing 82,000 structures, 3 million reviews and almost 90,000 judgements on social conversations. For the 10 Italian cities analysed, the positive sentiment is of 79.08%: the welcome of accommodation, food and wine are the elements that distinguish and that collect the highest score in all the cities analysed. Technology services, internet and Wi-Fi in hotels and restaurants, are to be complaints: in most cases, recorded a satisfaction level of service well below the sufficiency.
“The consideration that emerges from the data is that the structures of the cities of northern Italy are perceived very positively from the point of view of infrastructure – Declares Mirko Lalli, founder of Travel Appeal - But the South wins on the human dimension, relational and whatever is related to the inherent values a widespread view that these territories express at their best”.
